The original Four Seasons was founded in 1975 by Darleene Spencer. She had been a home economics teacher, worked for the Chamber of Commerce and had several other positions always dealing with the "people" business. She worked for another agency for 6 years and when her friends encouraged her to open her own office, she developed a great volume of business and was an instant success. She was not only the first real estate saleswoman in the area, but also one of the first owners of an extremely successful real estate corporation in western Illinois. Our founder, Darleene Spencer was the first "Realtor of the Year". She introduced HOMES Magazine and produced the first Compulist for the MLS, both of which are still being used today.

In 1989, Pam Spencer Huston and Ted Huston purchased Four Seasons Real Estate, the Coldwell Banker Franchise System and the Company of Midwestern Real Estate. The office was moved to the large brick home at 327 E. Jackson, a historic home of the Everly family which was built in 1927.

In December of 2000, Coldwell Banker Four Seasons merged with American Dream Realtors of Macomb. This merger helped to created one of the largest, most experienced team of Realtors in Western Illinois.
